Ex-Premier League star launches "cheating c*** ex's" belongings out of window

Former Premier League star Greg Halford has been caught tossing out the belongings of his "cheating c*** ex" on social media.

Halford, 38, played for a host of big English clubs during his playing career and clocked up 29 top-flight appearances during stints with Reading, Sunderland and Wolves. But the former defender, who was also adept at filling in as an emergency centre-forward, has been making headlines away from the pitch after hitting back at his ex-partner with a damning Twitter video.

In a clip shared to thousands of followers, Halford can be seen tossing a host of items, including a number of branded shoe boxes, out of a window in his house. The video is captioned: "Been far, far too long but finally clearing out the cheating c**t ex stuff."

A host of fans commented on the video, including a couple of mischievous posters who quipped that the former Colchester man, who had an impressive long throw, had proved that he still had it.

Halford came through the ranks at Colchester, where he played at every level in the EFL, but he was snapped up by Reading and given a taste of Premier League football back in January 2007.

The journeyman veteran, who is still playing in non-league for Hashtag United, has turned out for no less than 17 clubs in his senior career but hasn't played in the football league since a brief stint with Southend United back in the 2020/21 campaign.

Hashtag United, who were founded by YouTube star Spencer Owen, are a well-known online entity who currently play in the Isthmian League North Division, the eighth tier of English football.

When they confirmed Halford's arrival to much fanfare back in the summer, the Pitsea-based club hailed the former EFL and Premier League stalwart as their most experienced ever signing.

In a tweet on their official social media account in August, Hashtag United said: "Having previously played @premierleague and @EFL football, Halford joins the Tags and makes his debut TODAY! Standing at 6’4 Greg’s our most experienced signing ever and has played EVERY position!"

Halford, who also won a handful of caps for England at U20 level, had spells playing for Aberdeen in Scotland and Waterford in the League of Ireland Premier Division before he returned to the English non-league scene back in 2021.

Halford didn't win any major honours during his career in England's professional league but he was promoted with Cardiff City, who finished as runners-up in the Championship, back in the 2017/18 campaign and he was also named in the PFA's League One team of the year back in 2006.
