Former New York Jets star Brandon Marshall has been forced to get a humiliating tattoo of his most-hated team, the New England Patriots, on his arm after losing a bet with NFL legend Julian Edelman.
On the show Inside the NFL last week, the two had a back and forth on who would win last weekend's game, both being confident in their convictions that their former team would come out victorious.
It was, objectively, one of the more boring games of the season - until the last minute. Both offenses struggled to make anything happen, throwing for no touchdowns and no rushing touchdowns either. The Patriots did have joy in the passing game, but failed to convert in key situations, constantly having to punt the ball away.
The Jets meanwhile, threw for just 77 yards and rushed for 59 yards in a dismal offensive showing, with quarterback Zach Wilson now being benched after the showing, and the poor season he's had.
In the dying seconds of the game, the Jets punted the ball away after another failed drive, kicking it straight in the hands of rookie Marcus Jones who returned it 84 yards for the only touchdown of the day to win the game.
This would make Julian Edelman the winner of the bet, meaning Marshall would agree to get a Patriots tattoo on his forearm - something he has agreed to do.
This was the second time the Patriots and Jets have played this season, with the Pats winning on both occasions and sweeping their division rivals.
The two teams both have a 6-4 record, with the Jets bottom of the impressive AFC North, along with the Buffalo Bills and Miami Dolphins level with a 7-3 record.
The Jets hope to reignite their season with a change at quarterback, benching their second overall draft pick from 2021 Zach Wilson in place of fourth year back-up Mike White.
It comes after Wilson's horrific sophomore year, in which he has thrown four touchdowns to five interceptions and was heavily criticised for throwing for just 77 yards in the 10-3 loss to the Patriots, before not taking any accountability for the performance after the game.
White played in four games for the Jets last year and had some solid moments including an impressive win over the Cincinnati Bengals in which he won player of the week - throwing for 405 yards and three touchdowns.
