Airdrie have signed young English striker Joe Dixon, their third addition in the January transfer window.
Having impressed on trial, the 18-year-old, who has had spells at Middlesbrough, Hull City and Harrogate Town, has signed a deal until the end of this season, with the option of a further year.
The former England Schoolboys cap told the club website: "I can't wait to start. I've heard it's quite different to English football, so I'm excited for the challenge.
"The boys are a great set of lads. They have good fun, but they work hard as well.
"There's a good balance between standard and fun, so I'm really enjoying it so far."
Boss Rhys McCabe said: "Joe has come up with good pedigree, he's hard-working and willing to learn the game, so it's one we're looking at, longer term.
"Getting Joe in and around the first-team environment and training on a regular basis means we can work with him closely and hopefully reap the benefits of his progress."
Dixon joins striker Bright Prince and midfielder Ben Stanway as January signings.
