The cause of death of Adrián Olivares, a former member of the iconic band Menudo who passed away unexpectedly this week, was revealed in a GoFundMe page created by a friend of the family, asking for donations to support his three daughters and cover medical expenses and funerary costs.
In her message, a woman who identified herself as Diana Faget, explained that Olivares, who was 48 years old at the time of her death, was diagnosed with Crohn's disease only a week before his death, which was further complicated by ulcerative colitis. These conditions led to severe complications that ultimately took his life on July 8 at 5:30 am.
Adrián was not only a talented musician but also a dedicated father to his three daughters: Eliana, 18, and twins Lia and Lilly, 8. His sister, actress Karla Souza, has publicly shared her grief and the significant impact Adrián had on her life and career.
Supporting Adrián's Family
In the wake of Adrián's death, his family faces significant emotional and financial challenges. To help alleviate these burdens, Faget has initiated a fundraising campaign. This was her message:
"Hello, my name is Diana Faget and today I am using this platform to help Natasha and Anushka with their terrible loss. Anushka's brother, Adrian Olivares, unexpectedly passed away at 5:30 am, July 8. He was 48 only years old. He was diagnosed with Crohn's disease a week ago, which was complicated by ulcerative colitis. Adrian was an incredible father to his three daughters Eliana (18), and the twins Lia and Lilly (8). If you would please consider donating anything you can, it would be greatly appreciated as the family does not have the means to give Adrian his final farewell and help these girls with all their necessary expenses. All donations will be given to his mother, Natasha. I will update with the costs of the funeral services as soon as I have the information. Fly high Adrian, we love you!"
