Ex-McDonald's chef invents simple test to tell if your branch will get your order right

A former McDonald's chef has created a "fool proof test" to determine whether your local branch is "a good one". Mike Haracz, known as @chefmikeharacz on TikTok, says he used to work in McDonald's corporate office - and has been sharing 'insider information' about business on social media.

He claims customers can test out whether their McDonald's branch is a "good one" with one simple order. Mike said on TikTok: "Go into your local McDonald's at a peak time - so heavy lunch rush, heavy dinner rush.

"I need you to order 10 quarter pounders with cheese, and you could add some changes to those burgers as well. Bring some friends. It's gonna be a little expensive."

He went on to explain how a good branch will serve your order in five minutes or less if they know what they're doing, making no mistakes in the process.

Mike added: "If they cannot handle it then it might not be the best-running McDonald's. There could be other issues."

But he does say there's a "variety of things" that could affect his test - such as staffing issues, equipment problems, and the branch receiving a lot of custom orders at the same time.

Speaking to Fox News Digital, he said: "This is based off corporate standards stating that McDonald's targets service times of 120 seconds.

"However, due to grill capacity and the burgers taking around 80 seconds to cook, it may take two cook cycles to complete the order."

"There are a variety of other factors that could affect a 'good' McDonald’s, like management, crew training, cleanliness, recent restaurant updates and crew morale."

Commenting on his video, one user said: "I can’t even get a single quarter pounder in five minutes."

Another user added: "I don’t even need to try this - there’s no way my McDonald’s could do this."

A third user said: "It took my McDonald's 30 minutes to get me my McCracken and fries at 3pm on a weekday. I was the only one there."

One more user added: "I’ve never been to any McDonald’s that can even remember to put sauce in the bag let alone make 10 quarter pounders with cheese in under five minutes."
