Former Manchester United winger Adnan Januzaj has joined Istanbul Basaksehir on loan for the rest of the season after struggling to make an impact for Sevilla.
The Belgian winger moved from Real Sociedad on a free transfer last summer, but has managed just six appearances for Jorge Sampaoli's side - two of which have come in La Liga - with no goals or assists to his name.
The mid-season window in Turkey ends on February 8, giving teams in the country a chance to snap up any fringe talents from across Europe at the last minute. And with Tottenham's Bryan Gil arriving on loan, the former United man has fallen further down the pecking order.

A statement released by Sevilla upon the news said: "Sevilla FC and Istanbul Basaksehir FK of the Turkish Super League have reached an agreement for the loan of attacker Adnan Januzaj until the end of the season . The player born in Brussels leaves on loan after his arrival in the Seville capital last summer.
"As a Sevilla player, Januzaj's balance in these months in which he has worn the jersey of the Nervión team can be summed up in six games ; two from LaLiga Santander, one from the Copa del Rey and three from the UEFA Champions League. Sevilla FC wants to wish the footballer the best of luck in this new stage at the Istanbul club."
Januzaj leaves a Sevilla side dangerously underperforming and and just two points above a tightly-packed relegation zone in Spain. Istanbul Basaksehir currently sit third in the Turkish Super Lig and are fighting for qualification into the Europa Conference League.
Januazaj made 63 appearances for United between 2013 and 2016, breaking into the first-team under David Moyes thanks to a brilliant brace in a 2-1 win against Sunderland. But with a long-term and big-money contract under his belt and the arrival of Louis van Gaal, the excitement of those first weeks never materialised and the winger was loaned to Borussia Dortmund and Sunderland before leaving for Real Sociedad in 2017.
