It appears that the Amy Shark controversy surrounding her now-deleted video, in which punters claimed she was “mum-shaming”, has deepened with former Married At First Sight (MAFS) bride Domenica Calarco clapping back at the singer.
Earlier this week, Shark landed herself in hot water after she shared a video in which she’s seen sitting on a flight while a child’s scream can be heard in the background. As the wails continue, the Australia Idol judge looks into the camera, visibly disturbed by the noise.
“Yay,” she sarcastically captioned the post.

Shortly after sharing the video, viewers flocked to the comments to describe Shark’s decision to record the incident as “rude” and “pretty unkind”.
“As a mum flying with a baby soon, videos like this just increase anxiety for parents who are already trying their best,” one person commented.
Calarco, who welcomed her first child in August 2025, also responded to Shark’s video via a savage stitch shared to her Stories.
The MAFS star shared a snippet of Shark’s video before the video cut to her holding her bébé, Dove.
“Things could be worse. Could’ve been your music playing,” Domenica spouted at the camera alongside text that read “Things on the internet that pissed me off today”.

Taking to her IG Stories, the reality-TV-star-turned-podcast-host revealed that Shark had reached out to her personally with a lengthy apology.
“Just wanted to let you know that I am sincerely sorry for offending,” Shark wrote to Calarco in a TikTok DM.
“I honestly did not look at the situation from a mum point of view as I don’t have kids, so it was just scene [sic] as more of a funny situation.”
Shark went on to reveal that she ended up holding the crying baby as the mother attempted to collect her bags before apologising to Calarco a second time.
“It was meant to be just a little laugh, in hindsight it was disrespectful. Again, apologies,” Shark wrote.

Reflecting on Shark’s apology, Calarco revealed to P.TV that she chose not to respond as she believes the singer “doubled down” on saying it was a “funny situation”.
“Just that I think her message to me was ridiculous and that’s why I refused to respond,” the ex-MAFS bride said.
“After I posted my story, the amount of DMs I got from mums who were so hurt by this, as well as the added anxiety they now feel about ever getting on a plane with their small children, is diabolical!
“She’s definitely pissed off the wrong crowd with this, big time.”

Amy Shark apologises for now-deleted TikTok
Alongside her apology to Calarco, Shark shared a public apology via her TikTok Stories.
“I’m gonna fuck up like this my whole life,” she began.
“I’m really sorry to all mums, I fucking love mums, I love babies.
“When you don’t have kids, you see a crying baby behind you as a funny situation, but I know now — not a funny situation, not at all.”
Shark has yet to respond to Calarco exposing their conversation on her IG Stories, but we can’t deny that the reality TV star’s clap back was quite spicy.
Maybe the pair could settle their differences with John Aiken, Alessandra Rampolla and Mel Schilling mediating…
