Ex Love Islander Chloe Burrows reveals brutal filming secrets

Former Love Island contestant Chloe Burrows has revealed what it's really like to appear on the reality show. Speaking to ex-Geordie Shore star Vicky Pattison on her podcast The Secret To, Chloe said that the build up to the series is "insane" and that some contestants who fly out for Love Island, never get shown on TV.

Chloe, who made it to the final with Toby Aromolaran, said: 'They say to you, and I don't know why they say it, but they remind you the whole time, 'You're not in the villa, until you're in the villa'."

"Even on the morning, they're like, 'You're not in love Island yet'. Like it could all go wrong, and they could fly you home. They don't tell you. You have no clue what's going on. And I'd heard a couple of people had their [suit]cases got taken and then got given back because they weren't going in."

Chloe revealed that some people are flown out for six weeks and still never get their chance to enter the villa or Casa Amor. The former islander, who has now broken up with Toby, said her friend Millie Court was told she would walk in during the first few days, but was held back.

On the delay, Chloe told the podcast: "She (Millie) was in hold for about 4 weeks, I think. They just wait and see when to drop you in based on what happens in the villa. So, if they don't think you're right, then you don't get dropped and then you get sent home."

Meanwhile, Luke Mabbott, from the first ever winter edition of Love Island which was based in South Africa, flew all the way to the southern hemisphere, then back to England, then back to South Africa when the producers wanted him to enter.

On the The Secret To podcast, Chloe also revealed that while she was in the villa she found it very hard on her mental health and that her family were receiving regular death threats while they were managing her social media.
