Former Leeds United midfielder Bradley Johnson led the congratulatory messages sent to Jonny Howson following his FA Cup fourth round triumph at Old Trafford.
Howson and his Middlesbrough teammates defeated Manchester United 8-7 on penalties following a 1-1 draw after 120 minutes of football.
The 33-year-old was one of three ex- Leeds players to convert their spot-kicks in the shootout, with Sol Bamba and Lee Peltier also netting from 12 yards.
Boro became the first lower league side to knock Man United out of the FA Cup since Johnson and Howson’s Leeds team in 2010.
Both players were crucial to the Whites’ victory over the Red Devils, with Howson providing the assist for Jermaine Beckford’s winner in the first half.
Here is how Johnson, as well as Leeds fans, have been reacting to Howson’s achievement.
@BradleyJohnson_4: “Johnny boyyy #alaw.”
