Former Rangers midfielder John Lundstram has joined Russell Martin’s Leicester City on a free transfer following his departure from Trabzonspor.
The 32-year-old has signed a two-year deal at the King Power Stadium, subject to league and international clearance, after returning to England from Turkey.

Lundstram made more than 150 appearances for Rangers after arriving from Sheffield United in 2021. He won the Scottish Cup and League Cup during his time at Ibrox and was a key member of the side which reached the 2022 Europa League final in Seville.
After leaving Rangers for Trabzonspor in the summer of 2024, the midfielder spent last season on loan at Hull City, making 34 appearances as the Tigers won promotion to the Premier League through the Championship play-offs.

He now becomes part of former Rangers boss Martin’s Leicester rebuild, with the Foxes aiming to meet their targets this season. Lundstram said: “I’m delighted to be here. I’ve played against Leicester City before and always admired them from afar.
“I’m ready for this next challenge in my career and can’t wait to meet the lads, meet the fans, and get started. We all know what the goal is this season, and I’m looking forward to trying to help the team achieve it.”
