But Genoa have made former Hibee Doig their top summer transfer target as they look to bring in the youngster to replace former Italy star Domenico Criscito claim the Daily Record.
He retired after scoring a penalty in his final match as Genoa won promotion from Serie B, and Doig's stay in Italy's top flight could now be extended after an impressive first season.
Doig has two goals and four assists, with his strikes coming against Sampdoria and Udinese, but has missed several fixtures in recent weeks.
His Easter Road exit last summer pocketed Hibs over £3million as the young Scots continue to prove to be an attractive addition to Italy's club sides.
