Former Atlanta Falcons linebacker Mykal Walker was one of the team’s surprise cuts during training camp. The 26-year-old was claimed off waivers by the Chicago Bears before being released at the 53-man roster deadline.
Walker has found another new home, signing with the Las Vegas Raiders practice squad on Tuesday. The Raiders were reportedly interested in adding Walker when the Falcons released him, but the Bears snatched him up first.

Walker was drafted by the Falcons in the fourth round of the 2020 NFL draft out of Fresno State and had worked his way up to a starting role last season. We’ll see if Walker gets called up to the Raiders 53-man roster ahead of Week 3.
