Ex-Formula One boss Bernie Ecclestone has been spared prison after agreeing to pay £652m to HMRC for failing to declare £400m of overseas assets to the government.

The billionaire was sentenced to 17 months in prison suspended for two years, after pleading guilty to fraud on Thursday.
