Delhi: A day after quitting the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), former Delhi Transport Minister Kailash Gahlot on Monday joined the BJP.
The Najafgarh MLA joined the BJP in the presence of Union Minister Manohar Lal Khattar, party Delhi Election in-charge Baijyant Panda, National General Secretary Dushyant Gautam and Delhi BJP President Virendra Sachdeva.

After Joining the BJP, Gahlot said that he did not leave the AAP under any pressure.

"I have not joined the BJP owing to any external pressure, but because AAP had compromised its ideology. I initially joined AAP to serve the common people, but now, the party has become disconnected from its original mission, with its leaders transforming from common to elite," Gahlot said.

Kailash Gahlot on Sunday resigned from the primary membership of AAP.
