It’s no secret that sportsbooks make a sizable chunk of their profits from parlays. When it came to Dez Bryant’s massive 13-leg bet, though, the former Dallas Cowboys wide receiver ended up taking home the entire bag.
This past weekend, Bryant won a massive college basketball parlay against all odds—or rather, against +54215 odds, to be exact.
The three-time Pro Bowler put down $767.68 on a 13-leg parlay that ended up winning him $416,970.35. Among the legs was a +105 moneyline bet on Nevada to beat UNLV on Saturday night, and that wager came down to the very last minute.
The Wolf Pack completed a stunning second-half comeback to win the game, 69—66, against their intrastate rivals, and no one was likely happier than Bryant about the result.

Not long after his fortuitous windfall, Bryant sank $1,000 in another multi-leg parlay that included a bet on U.S. tennis player Taylor Fritz beating Tommy Paul in the Delray Beach Open final on Monday. As luck would have it, Bryant won that parlay, too, raking in roughly $25,000.
When someone commented on how well Paul had been playing recently, Bryant said of his tennis pick, “Honestly I have no clue, I just put [Fritz] down because it looked good.”
Sports bets have been placed for crazier reasons, probably.
