Hamilton Accies have signed former Coventry City midfielder Jonny Ngandu, after impressing in pre-season.
The 20-year-old played in the 3-0 win over Larne, and was a trialist in other games.
Ngandu captained the Coventry under-23s as they won the play-off final in the Professional Development League 2 in May.
He becomes head coach John Rankin's first summer signing, and he told the club's website: "I am delighted to be joining this club. As soon as I got here, I just knew it was the right club.
"The lads have been brilliant with me, and I am really looking forward to getting the season started.
“I am a midfielder who likes to get the fans going. I want to play my part this season and chip in with a few goals and assists.”
Rankin said: "I am really pleased to welcome Jonny to the football club. Obviously, he had been in and around the place on trial and I was impressed by the quality and work ethic he showed.
"I think his character is one which will fit in well with our dressing room.
“I spoke about adding players who can excite the fans and I think Jonny is one who can do that with his quality. I would like to take the time to thank [chairman] Allan [Maitland] and the rest of the board for their hard work in adding him to our squad.”
