Former Chargers defensive tackle Sebastian Joseph-Day signed with the 49ers on Tuesday.
The move comes days after Joseph-Day was waived by Los Angeles.
Signed last offseason as L.A. revamped the interior part of the defensive line in an effort to fix the run defense, Joseph-Day was a key piece. He had 87 total tackles, five sacks and 12 tackles for loss across 30 starts.
Joseph-Day, 28, provides San Francisco with a reliable presence up front, as they have been lacking defensive tackle depth while Arik Armstead has been nursing a foot injury.
Joseph-Day will look to be a part of his second Super Bowl-winning team. The first came while he was with the Rams during the 2021 season.
