Former Celtic striker Odsonne Edouard could have been heading to the World Cup this summer, and facing Scotland, but has turned down the opportunity.
Edouard scored a double as Lens won the French Cup last night and could have continued to ride the crest of that wave by heading for North America with Haiti.
The 28-year-old was born in French Guiana, with his family moving to Paris when he was six, but both his parents are of Haitian descent.
He was approached about representing the island nation, who will face Steve Clarke's side, Brazil and Morocco in Group C, but has turned down the chance to link up with Sebastian Migne's men ahead of this summer's finals.

Edouard hasn't given up hope of some day featuring for France and also insists he wouldn't have felt right showing up for the World Cup after other players worked hard to get them there.
He said: "I didn't feel legitimate playing in this World Cup because the players fought to qualify and I wasn't going to show up at the last minute to take advantage of this World Cup."
