Minister of Sport for Saudi Arabia Abdulaziz bin Turki Al Saud has insisted Jota will remain at Al-Ittihad for the upcoming season despite links over a transfer exit.
The former Celtic winger has been tipped for a departure from Saudi after initially being left out of the squad list for the Saudi Pro League leading to lengthy spells out of action.
Jota has played just 25 times this season - with a significant number of appearances coming after being reintroduced to the league squad following Marcelo Gallardo's appointment as manager.
Jota's struggles in Saudi have been put down to previous boss Nuno Espirito Santo by Al Saud who branded the issue an "administrative error that can be fixed".

On the Eight Podcast, he explained: "Former coach Nuno Santo was the one who requested Jota after a letter reached the recruitment committee.
"But when you contract a player you want from your budget and he does not play, this gives us the impression that there is an administrative error that can be fixed."
Quizzed on a possible return to Celtic - with outlets having reported the winger would be keen to return to Parkhead - Al Saud insisted Jota will be at Al-Ittihad next season.
He said: "Ittihad's management informed the player recruitment program that it does not want any new foreign player and will continue with Grohe, Kante, Jota, Benzema, Hamdallah, Coronado, Romarinho, Hegazy next season."
