Arsenal must push to sign Brazilian prodigy Vitor Roque, former Gunners striker Eduardo da Silva has urged.
The 40-year-old is an alumnus of Atletico Paranense where the 18-year-old forward is earning his stripes, having recently lifted the Under-20 South American Championship with Brazil.
Reports suggest Barcelona are winning the race to sign Roque in the summer, with Arsenal said to be keen on the player.
But Eduardo believes he would be a perfect match for the Premier League leaders.
“Vitor Roque is a great player,” he told Betway.
“He has been a starter for Atletico Paranaense since he was 17 years old. It is a great club who I had the pleasure of playing for. They develop great players.
“Top clubs in Europe also want him as well as Arsenal.
“Roque has also been selected to be a part of the Brazilian national team, so I hope Arsenal sign him as I have no doubt that he will help Arsenal achieve their objectives.”
