Former Aberdeen player Adam Rooney has paid tribute to Cody Fisher, his old teammate, who died on Boxing Day after being stabbed to death.
Cody, 23, was said to be attacked around 11.45pm on the dancefloor of The Crane Nightclub in Digbeth, Birmingham, while he was on a night out with friends. Sadly, he could not be saved and was pronounced dead at the scene half an hour later.
Two people have now been arrested by West Midlands Police on suspicion of murder, Aberdeen Live reports. The force said: "We’ve arrested two men on suspicion of the murder of footballer Cody Fisher, who was stabbed to death at a nightclub in Birmingham on Boxing Day.
