A sick thug who smashed open his girlfriend's head with a glass ashtray and jug before washing the blood out of her hair has been jailed.
Kevin Marshall told his terrified victim "I may as well do you in, I'll only get seven years" before viciously assaulting her, the Liverpool Echo reports.
A judge blasted the 33-year-old for his disgraceful lack of empathy after he quipped to a probation officer: "It weren't like she were bleeding out and asking for help, I carried on hitting her."
