Key information has yet to be provided to lawyers representing a man accused of murdering a Tasmanian teenager whose body was found in bushland.
Christopher Mark Jordan, 37, appeared via video link in Launceston Magistrates Court on Wednesday.
He has made several brief appearances in court since being charged in late July with the murder of 14-year-old Shyanne-Lee Tatnell.
Shyanne-Lee's remains were found near a track near Nabowla in the state's northeast on July 26, some 12 weeks after she went missing.
Lawyer Hannah Goss, acting on behalf of Jordan's defence lawyer Greg Richardson, said a "key piece" of disclosure was missing and the matter could not progress.
Police prosecutor Giuliano Ercole indicated the disclosure would be made soon.
Mr Ercole asked for Magistrate Ken Stanton to direct Jordan to enter a plea on the next occasion, given the number of court appearances.
"I can't direct him to plead yet on these charges but we'll see what happens next time," Mr Stanton said.
He adjourned the matter to January 31 and remanded Jordan in custody.
Jordan has not entered a plea to the murder charge, or to separate charges of failing to comply with ammunition storage requirements and possessing a controlled plant and prohibited import.
Shyanne-Lee was last seen on the night of April 30 near the North Esk River in the city of Launceston.
It is alleged Jordan murdered Shyanne-Lee on April 30 at Scottsdale in the state's northeast.
Her disappearance sparked large-scale searches, including an operation involving 180 people - the biggest search ever conducted in northern Tasmania.
