Everything you need to know as gardai increase speed checks all over Ireland this weekend

Gardai will be out on Irish roads in droves this weekend looking to catch drivers travelling above the speed limit.

A speed enforcement operation "Slow Down” is taking place and is supported by the Road Safety Authority and other stakeholders, for a 24-hour period.

It will begin at 7:00 am on Friday, April 21, and will last until the same time on Saturday, April 22.
