Gino D'Acampo is opening a brand new restaurant in Leeds this week.
The TV chef, who owns eateries across the country from Liverpool, Manchester, Newcastle, and London, is now expanding his restaurant portfolio, with another eatery in Leeds. The city originally had a Gino's in Park Row but it sadly closed down.
However a new and bigger restaurant is now opening in Leeds Marriott Hotel, in Boar Lane, on April 14. Around £2million has been spent on the project, designed by acclaimed international restaurant designer Bernard Carroll, and guests will arrive to a beautiful reception area before entering the bar lounge and 160-seated open plan restaurant.

There will be an impressive marble bar, cicchetti counter complete with a vast brass pizza oven, and deli. Outside there is also a heated terrace where customers can enjoy outdoors drinks and nibbles. On the menu, which has been designed by Gino, there will be classic Italian dishes, as well as classic and signature cocktails.
Gino said: "I couldn’t be more pleased to announce my new premium Italian restaurant and bar will open in Leeds on April 14. It’s looking absolutely incredible and I cannot wait to invite you to join me in experiencing it for yourself.
"I have a long relationship with the city having opened one of my first restaurants in Leeds almost eight years ago and I’m thrilled to return with the opening of my new upmarket Italian restaurant and bar, which I promise will be something else.
"We’ve been looking for the perfect location for some time and at Leeds Marriott Hotel we have found it."
Alan Malloy, General Manager at Leeds Marriott Hotel, said: "We are thrilled to be working with Gino and his team and can’t wait to welcome guests this spring. Our goal is to bring the very best choice in upmarket dining to our hotel guests and local audience."
Reservations for the upmarket Italian restaurant and bar, located at the recently refurbished Leeds Marriott Hotel with Gino D’Acampo will offer breakfast, brunch, lunch, afternoon tea, dinner, and cocktails until late.
The launch marks the sixth of the popular TV chef’s in less than two years. The Leeds opening will create over 50 more jobs.
