Three people have been hospitalised after a serious collision on the A1 in Northumberland on Thursday morning.
The incident happened just before 9am near Causey Park between the Longhorsley Turn Off and Earsdon Turn Off.
Emergency services including Northumbria Police, North East Ambulance Service and Northumberland Fire and Rescue Service all attended the scene.

Three patients were injured in the crash and had to be transported to the RVI in Newcastle for further treatment.
Two of these were taken there by road and the other by air with the Great North Air Ambulance.
Northumbria Police have confirmed an investigation has begun relating to the incident.
Drivers were urged to avoid the area as the incident caused severe disruption between Morpeth and Alnwick.
The road was closed for over six hours as accident investigation work got underway by Northumbria Police.
On Friday morning, police confirmed that 64-year-old man, who can now be named as Michael Hetherington from the Berwick area, died following the collision.
His next of kin have been notified and are currently being supported by specialist officers.
In a heartfelt tribute, his family said: “Michael was a much-loved family man who will be missed by everyone who knew him.
A North East Ambulance Service spokesperson said: "We were called to reports of a serious collision on the A1 northbound at 8.40am this morning.
"We dispatched seven resources and requested support from Great North Air Ambulance service. In total three patients were transported to the RVI for further treatment, two by road and one by air."
Northumbria Police is now appealing to the public for anyone with information relating to the incident.
Sgt Dave Roberts of the Force’s Motor Patrols Department said: “An investigation has been launched and we are committed to establishing the circumstances surrounding this incident.
“I am now appealing to anybody who was in the area around that time to come forward with any information or dashcam footage, as it may prove crucial in determining the circumstances surrounding the collision."
National Highways North East said: "Emergency services including Northumbria Police are in attendance. National Highways are deploying resources to assist with traffic management.
"Due to the serious nature of this incident, Northumbria Police will be carrying out a collision investigation. Therefore, the road is expected to remain closed for several hours.
"Traffic is being diverted via local routes.
"If this closure impacts on your planned route, please allow extra journey time. Plan ahead, you may wish to re-route or even delay your journey.

A Northumbria Police spokesperson said: "Shortly before 8.40am today (Thursday) we received a report of a two-vehicle collision on the A1 near Causey Park, Northumberland.
“Emergency crews remain at the scene and the road is currently closed. We are asking people to avoid the area the area and allow extra time to complete journeys.”
