Friendlies planned, ticket details: Everything we know about Nottingham Forest's 2023/24 pre-season

The onset of July means we can finally say Nottingham Forest are back in action this month.

After a well-deserved break, the focus now turns to the 2023/24 campaign for Steve Cooper's side. It is a big summer for the head coach and his players as they aim to push on in the Premier League.

Friendlies are an important part of their preparations, providing an opportunity to build up fitness and to integrate new signings when they arrive. Plans have been put in place for the Reds' pre-season programme, with a number of matches scheduled.

Fans have already snapped up tickets for Forest's first game of the summer. We take a look at all the pre-season details ahead of the Reds getting back out on the pitch.

Tuesday, July 18 - Valencia, behind closed doors at Ciudad Deportiva de Paterna (7pm local time kick-off)

Saturday, July 22 - Levante, behind closed doors at Ciudad Deportiva de Buñol (12pm local time kick-off)

Wednesday, August 2 - Stade Rennais, behind closed doors at St George's Park (7pm kick-off)

Saturday, August 5 - Eintracht Frankfurt at Deutsche Bank Park (3.30pm local time kick-off)

The club had been trying to arrange another friendly against Dutch opposition on the Friday prior to their meeting with PSV. However, that will now be their only fixture in the Netherlands.

Ticket details

Tickets for the friendly against the Magpies sold out earlier this week. More than 5,700 Reds fans will be in attendance at Meadow Lane, with no further allocation of seats for the visitors.

Tickets for the game against PSV will go on sale to season 2022-23 away members from 10am on Tuesday (July 4). The following day, at 10am, they will go on sale to 2023-24 season card holders, while fans with a previous booking history (2021-22/2022-23) will be able to purchase tickets from 10am on Thursday, July 6.

An initial allocation of 750 seats has been received for the match in the Netherlands, along with an allocation of five wheelchair positions. General allocation sales are online only and a standard ticket is priced at £12.50.

Details of tickets for the friendly against Eintracht Frankfurt have yet to be announced. Forest are also yet to release details of whether any of the friendlies will be streamed.

What we know about the 2023/24 season
