The renewal announcement came via Netflix in a short video starring Emily herself, aka Lily Collins.
In the clip, the actress sits at a small café table adorned with flowers and a pastry, as she sips a classic Italian espresso before quipping: “There’s no place like Rome.
As the cup, which has ‘Emily In Paris’ printed on it, tips up to Lily’s mouth the number ‘5’ is revealed at the bottom, confirming not only will the show return but will likely stay in a Roman setting.

Oui! Netflix officially confirmed the return of Emily In Paris season five in a cute clip of the star and an official statement.
“We’re thrilled with the incredible response to this season of Emily in Paris and excited to return for a fifth,” show creator Darren Star told Tudum.
Will Emily In Paris Season Five Be Set In Rome?
It looks like the American marketing whizz isn’t quite done with her Italian dalliance, but it won’t be a full-time stint either.
Darren Star revealed to Tudum that season five will “continue Emily’s adventures in Rome and Paris!”
“It doesn’t mean she’s not going to be in Paris, but she’s going to have a presence in Rome,” he told Tudum.

It’s a dire thought—life without Emily In Paris—but at some point an inevitable so if you’re wondering when the show will end, we have some comforting news. Emily In Paris has already been confirmed for it’s next season, but more than that the show’s creator told Pedestrian.TV that he has no plans of calling it quits anytime soon.

Given the messy ending between Gabriel and Emily, we’re expecting to see the return of Lucas Bravo, too.

Given Darren’s enthusiastic reveal that the next season of the show will take place across both Paris and Rome, we can only speculate that another love triangle is set to unfold.
We closed out season four with Emily exploring a new city with a new love interest, Marcello, while back in Paris, Gabriel had resolved to chase after her. If the hot chef does indeed make his way to Rome, we predict an awkwardly messy situation to come. Time will tell!
