The Pokémon Day Pokémon Presents was one of the most stacked showcases in recent memory. Coming in at around 25 minutes, the 30th anniversary broadcast delivered new game reveals, retro releases, competitive news, and a flurry of live service updates. Here’s everything that was announced at Pokémon Presents 2026.

Pokémon Red & Blue Game Music Collection
The show started on a nostalgic note with the Pokémon Red and Blue Game Music Collection. The Game Boy-inspired standalone music player houses 45 songs across 45 miniature cartridges, from classic Pokémon tunes. It went on sale immediately after the presentation on Feb. 27.

Pokémon XD: Gale of Darkness coming to Nintendo Switch Online
The classic GameCube spin-off Pokémon XD: Gale of Darkness is finally getting a re-release in Nintendo Switch Online’s GameCube library in March 2026. The game acts as a follow-up to Colosseum, set in the Orre region, and tasks players with capturing Shadow Pokémon from other teams. The online release finally offers an alternate way to access the game after it became a desirable collector’s item on the GameCube, often selling for over $200 in recent months.

Pokémon Champions to feature at the 2026 World Championships
The battle-focused competitive title Pokémon Champions launches on Nintendo Switch in April 2026. The game will also release on mobile later in the year, giving fans of the series an opportunity to play the game without needing a Switch. It’s confirmed as the official game of the 2026 Pokémon World Championships, replacing Scarlet and Violet.
The 2026 World Championships will head to San Francisco’s Chase Centre on Aug. 28 to 30. Pokémon Champions and Pokémon Unite were both confirmed as competitive titles for the event, and a fan expo called Pokémon XP will run alongside the tournament. The expo will offer activities, merch, and family-friendly experiences.

Pokémon Pokopia
The cozy life simulation game arrives on Nintendo Switch on March 5, and the Presents revealed some charming new details. These include a special DJ Rotom stereo form, playing CDs discovered by Ditto, and Chef Dente—a Greedent with a passion for cooking—teaching players to prepare dishes suited to different Pokémon’s taste preferences.
Four-player multiplayer town visits were also confirmed, making Pokopia one of the more social experiences the franchise has offered in some time.

Pokémon Winds and Waves—Gen 10 revealed
The presentation’s headline was the reveal of the next generation of Pokémon games. Pokémon Winds and Pokémon Waves make up Generation 10 of the mainline games and will target a 2027 release. As Switch 2 exclusives, the games get a massive overhaul of the visuals compared to Scarlet and Violet. The games are set in a lush tropical region featuring water-based towns and what appears to be underwater exploration.

Live service, mobile updates, and DLCs
There was plenty for fans of Pokémon’s live titles too. Legends: Z-A is receiving paid DLC called Mega Dimension, expanding its Mega Evolution roster. Players who own both the base game and the DLC can access Mega Garchomp Z immediately.
On the mobile side, Pokémon GO kicks off GO Tour: Kalos on Feb. 28. Pokémon Masters EX adds Red (1996) & Pikachu today, with more sync pairs arriving through early March and 3,000 free gems available until March 31. TCG Pocketlaunches the Paldean Wonders booster set now, while Pokémon Unite adds Articuno, Zapdos, and Moltres today with the Johto starters teased as coming soon.
Finally, Pokémon Sleep begins Mew Missions tonight, and Pokémon Café ReMix kicks off a starter roundup event with Bulbasaur, Charmander, and Squirtle.

30th Anniversary TCG set & Pokémon Home
Rounding out the show, a 30th Anniversary Pokémon TCG set was teased for later in 2026, reviving fan-favorite cards from the original Base Set and the Diamond & Pearl era—with classic prints including Base Set Charizard and iconic D&P cards like Palkia, Darkrai, and Azelf shown off.
Pokémon Home support for Legends: Z-A was also confirmed for sometime this year, allowing players to transfer Pokémon between it and other supported titles, completing the connectivity picture for one of the series’ most ambitious recent entries.
That was everything announced at Pokémon Presents, but it’s only just the beginning for the franchise’s 30th anniversary celebrations. Many brands are announcing licensed Pokémon products, with merch, magazines, LEGO, and much more.
