Former Tory cabinet minister Nadhim Zahawi’s defection to Reform UK yesterday was the latest in a series of moves from the Conservative party.

The Iraqi-born former MP, who served in ministerial positions under four Conservative prime ministers, said that Britain is “drinking at the last chance saloon” and “really does need Nigel Farage as prime minister”.
