For a brief moment, late in the fourth quarter, it looked as if the Kansas City Chiefs were going to get the win over the Buffalo Bills in the most dramatic fashion ever. With the ball right near midfield, down three, with 1:12 remaining, Kansas City quarterback Patrick Mahomes found his trusty tight end Travis Kelce for a big gain.
Instead of hitting the ground, Kelce improbably managed to connect on a lateral with teammate Kadarius Toney for the easy touchdown and the lead. It was an incredible play.
But it didn’t count. Toney lined up obviously offsides, nullifying the touchdown and moving the Chiefs back five yards.

Kansas City would be unable to get a first down or get within field goal range, and Buffalo was able to kneel for the victory.
After the miscue, everyone had the same joke about Kelce’s new girlfriend, Taylor Swift.
