Olivia Breen produced one of the moments of the Commonwealth Games so far, causing an upset in the T37/38 100m final.
The 26-year-old produced a stunning performance to pip much-fancied English rival Sophie Hahn, clocking a personal best of 12.83 seconds to win Wales' first medal in the track and field.
Breen's success was Wales' third gold medal of the Birmingham Games but it was her post-race chat that really had fans falling in love with her.
Bursting with joy and unable to contain her excitement, she gave a brilliant interview to broadcasters after doing a lap of the track waving the Welsh flag.
"I'm absolutely over the moon," she said with a huge smile on her face. "I'm getting really emotional. It's been 10 years of hard work, I've never run this fast and I'm just so happy!
"I'm just emotional and I can't believe it. I want to say thank you to all my team for believing in me and I've just kept going. Obviously I've had days: 'Why am I doing this?' We all have. But you just have to keep going, it will come eventually and nine years of hard work... I'm just ecstatic!
"Sophie's obviously been my main rival for years but I've just kept saying: 'Livvy, you can do this, it will come' and it's come."
Social media was awash with comments of support for Breen and her achievements.
