Kelly Clarkson is getting real about the challenging decision that led her to end her incredibly popular self-titled talk show. Clarkson, who is 43, appeared in an interview segment alongside her Voice costars, host Carson Daly and fellow judge John Legend. During their chat, she was asked about her choice to conclude The Kelly Clarkson Show to dedicate more time to her children, River, 11, and Remi, 9, following the death of their father, Brandon Blackstock.
“Well, I think everybody probably gets the timing,” Clarkson stated, subtly referring to the situation without explicitly naming her ex-husband. According to People Magazine, she explained that their “family life, the dynamic changed a bit and it has changed for a minute now.” Clarkson also shared that her kids helped her truly grasp “how precious” life is, which ultimately motivated her to lighten her workload.
