Reality TV romances truly dominated the screen throughout 2025. From MAFS and Love Island to non-dating shows like Big Brother and MasterChef, contestants simply couldn’t keep their hands off one another.
But the true mark of a successful relationship formed on reality TV is actually going the distance. While we’ll have to wait and see if last year’s romances are still going strong by the time the next season of their show rolls out, it’s a great sign that many spent New Year’s Eve together.

Big Brother — Bruce & Coco and Holly & Colin
After skipping out on attending a Big Brother cast reunion in Adelaide last week, Coco Beeby celebrated New Year’s Eve with her co-star-turned-potential boyfie Bruce Dunne.
The couple travelled to Byron Bay with Coco’s younger brother Chilla and posted snaps on their Instagram Stories, going shopping and hanging out.
Their ex-housemates Holly Young and Colin Ridley are yet to share any snaps on social media proving they rang in the New Year together. However, Holly told PEDESTRIAN.TV last week that while she had to miss the cast reunion due to a last-minute change, she and Colin spent Christmas together.
MAFS — Rhi & Jeff and Jacqui & Clint
MAFS couples Rhi Disljenkovic and Jeff Gobbels and their co-stars Jacqui Burfoot and Clint Rice also both entered the new year strong.
Rhi and Jeff enjoyed a romantic staycation in Melbourne to ring in 2026, while Jacqui and Clint celebrated in Hobart and teased some big news in the coming weeks.
“2025 has been quite the year. It’s getting even bigger in 2026… Announcement early in the new year,” Clint posted on his Instagram Story.
Farmer Wants A Wife — Jack & Sarah, Corey & Keeley, Tom & Georgie and Thomas & Clarette
This year’s Farmer Wants A Wife couples aren’t the most active on social media, so it’s unknown if any of them were together on NYE.
Jack Lonie and Sarah Linklater haven’t posted a photo together since November, and Corey Manwaring and Keeley Rankin’s last post was them setting up their Christmas decorations.
Tom Davies’ winner Georgie Lavery posted an Instagram Story revealing that she had to work night shift at the hospital, while Thomas Freeth’s winner Clarette Goodhead simply shared footage of the fireworks in Sydney with her man nowhere to be seen.
MasterChef — Sarah & Declan
MasterChef’s golden couple Sarah Todd and Declan Cleary celebrated the New Year with their family in Sydney after announcing the birth of their twin daughters, Claudia and Charlotte, on Christmas Eve.
“New Year’s Eve with my three girls,” Declan captioned a selfie on his Instagram Story.
Love Island — Kye & Yana
Love Island winners Kye Lambert and Yana Marks also spent the last day of 2025 together and appeared at a nightclub on the Gold Coast with their co-star Gabby McCarthy.
Because nothing says true love more than a paid appearance in Surfer’s Paradise. Get that bag, though!
The Golden Bachelor – Bear & Sunny
After celebrating both her birthday and Christmas earlier in the month, The Golden Bachelor’s inaugural couple Barry “Bear” Myrden and Sunny Long spent December 31 sailing in Sydney Harbour.
Sunny posted a sweet gallery of photos from their day out on the water and said she couldn’t wait to do it again.
“2025 was the Year of Firsts and this was my first time sailing! I absolutely loved it!” she wrote. “Could be the beginnings of a new passion of mine.”
They’ve all started the year off strong, so fingers crossed these couples are still together by the end of 2026!
