Of course, the coolest shirt sponsor of all time were immortalised in This Country, with an extremely cool company gracing the Swindon Town shirt from 2008-11. But some of the others have been alright too, we guess.
The different kinds of sponsors come in and out of fashion: there was the electronics era, then alcohol, then betting, and increasingly - crossing over with the gambling era coming to an end after a self-imposed ban that kicks in in 2026/27 - boring old banks and financial services. Which actually, is a pretty accurate summary of our own personal life stories too.
