Mobile speed cameras have been set up across Leeds in a bid to try to reduce accidents.
Set up by West Yorkshire Police on behalf of the West Yorkshire Casualty Prevention Partnership, the cameras are being put in "known casualty zones" in an effort to keep speeds down on 'dangerous roads'. The equipment uses a laser which operates in all weather conditions to determine the speed of passing cars.
The police cameras themselves are not undercover and can be seen on the roads. According to the West Yorkshire Casualty Prevention Partnership, enforcement can be expected on any of these roads at any time seven days a week.
