While Michigan State basketball has produced some star-level NBA talent under Tom Izzo’s tutelage like Draymond Green and Jaren Jackson Jr., there are a handful of other Spartans who are also doing their thing, and grinding for an opportunity on an NBA roster.
The NBA’s summer league kicks off this weekend, and four Spartans will be suiting up to earn a look from NBA teams around the country. You can see who they are and what squads they are playing for below.

Max Christie
Team: Los Angeles Lakers
Max Christie looks like he added some muscle to his frame this offseason and will look to show the Lakers that he is ready for real rotation minutes.
Gabe Brown
Team: Phoenix Suns
Gabe Brown got a look from the Toronto Raptors last year, and now he will look to find a lengthier landing spot with the Phoenix Suns, who are now owned by another Spartan in Mat Ishbia.
Joey Hauser
Team: Utah Jazz
The Jazz have already signed Hauser to a two-way contract, so he will get some time to develop and grow into their system, but he could add some gas to that fire with a big performance this summer.
Marcus Bingham Jr.
Team: Dallas Mavericks
Marcus Bingham Jr. has plenty of tools to tantalize NBA teams, from his shot-blocking to his outside shooting. His G-League season ended before it began last year due to injury, but he will look to show teams that he is healthy and ready to go.
