Business has already been done in League One this summer even though the transfer window only officially opened a few days ago.
Clubs have been planning many months for the market to reopen, as they aim to assemble their squads for the 2022/23 campaign. Bolton Wanderers are no different and got their summer business off to a start not long after the end of last season.
Defender Jack Iredale became the club's first signing of the summer when his capture was announced in early May. He signed a three-year contract at the University of Bolton Stadium and joins on a free transfer from Cambridge United.

More signings are being sought by Ian Evatt's side, with the season to begin at the end of July. But clubs up and down the division are seeking to add reinforcements
