Lazio were saved by their goalkeeper Ivan Provedel on Wednesday as he scored a 95th-minute equaliser to salvage a point in the Champions League.
The Rome side had been losing 0-1 to Atletico Madrid in the first round group stage match after Pablo Barrios scored for the visitors. And with the match almost over, the Spanish side probably thought the three points were safe - only to be denied by the most unlikely of goalscorers.
Provedel had earlier made saves to keep the score to 0-1 and ventured up for a corner in the dying seconds when he was able to power a header in to make it 1-1.
The Italian became just the fourth goalkeeper to score in Champions League history and only the second from open play. He joins this elite list.

Hans Jörg Butt
Butt was a renowned penalty taker and scored three times in the Champions League, once for Hamburg, once for Bayer Leverkusen and finally for Bayern Munich.
The goals came in 2000, 2002 and 2009 for the three clubs respectively. Oddly, all three of the German goalkeeper’s goals were scored against Juventus.
Butt retired having scored 32 goals in all competitions, an extraordinary total for a goalkeeper.
#OnThisDay in 2009, Standard Liege—trailing 1–0 to AZ—sent goalkeeper Sinan Bolat up for a 95th minute free kick... And Bolat equalises with a fucking ENORMOUS header. Brilliant goal and an even better celebration. pic.twitter.com/BmrEr9zwHu

Sinan Bolat
One day after Butt scored the last of his three goals, Standard Liege were losing 0-1 to Dutch side AZ but had a last-minute corner.
Turkish goalie Bolat had never scored before (and has not since!) but rushed forward and powered a header to level the game in the 95th minute.
Belgian side Liege needed the point to finish third in their group and qualify for the Europa League second round ahead of their Dutch rivals.

Vincent Enyeama
Nigerian fans will remember Vincent Enyeama for his penalty shootout heroics - but his Champions League goal came in normal time.
In 2010, while playing for Israeli side Hapoel Tel Aviv, Enyeama stepped forward against Lyon to bury a penalty - although sadly for his side, they still lost 1-3.
Enyeama was a well-respected penalty taker and scored 20 times from the spot during his club career and played 101 times for Nigeria - many of those as captain.
