There are eight Georgia Bulldogs in the NFL that are expected to suit up in the conference championship games this Sunday. Overall, 33 total Georgia Bulldogs were on NFL rosters for the start of the postseason.
Three former Bulldogs will be playing for the San Francisco 49ers in the NFC championship game. There are no former Dawgs on the Detroit Lions, who are playing at San Francisco in the NFC title game.
Additionally, five former Bulldogs are playing in the AFC championship game as the Kansas City Chiefs travel to face the Baltimore Ravens. Two former Georgia coaches are coordinators on the Ravens’ coaching staff. The Super Bowl is guaranteed to have at least two Georgia Bulldogs in it.
When can Georgia football fans watch their favorite Bulldogs in the NFL this weekend? What roles will they have for their respective teams?
San Francisco 49ers wide receiver Chris Conley
When: Sunday, Jan. 28 at 6:30 p.m. ET on FOX
Chris Conley came up huge for the San Francisco 49ers in the NFC’s divisional round. The 49ers may have to lean on Conley in the NFC championship because star receiver Deebo Samuel suffered a shoulder injury and is questionable to play. If Samuel is limited, then Chris Conley will have a much larger role.
San Francisco 49ers tight end Charlie Woerner
Charlie Woerner is primarily a blocking tight end for San Francisco. He has three catches for 32 receiving yards this season.
San Francisco 49ers defensive end Robert Beal
Robert Beal probably won’t see many snaps against the Detroit Lions. Beal recorded five tackles and a sack as a rookie. He saw most of his action late in the season.
Betting odds: San Franciso (-7) is favored over Detroit, per BetMGM
Baltimore Ravens offensive guard Ben Cleveland
When: Sunday, Jan. 28 at 3:00 p.m. ET on CBS
Ben Cleveland played 16% of Baltimore’s offensive snaps this season. He started two games, but is not expected to have a big role for Baltimore unless the Ravens suffer an injury.
Betting odds: Baltimore (-3.5) is favored over Kansas City, per BetMGM
Baltimore Ravens linebacker Roquan Smith
Roquan Smith will be all over the field in the AFC championship game. The Ravens will look to slow down quarterback Patrick Mahomes and tight end Travis Kelce. Smith has 158 tackles this season.
Baltimore Ravens long snapper Nick Moore
For Nick Moore’s sake, we hope fans don’t hear his name called much in the AFC championship game. Moore snaps to Ravens’ kicker Justin Tucker, who is one of the best in the NFL.
Baltimore Ravens offensive coordinator Todd Monken
Former Georgia offensive coordinator Todd Monken must call a good game for star quarterback Lamar Jackson in the AFC championship. The Ravens face a tough Kansas City Chiefs defense and will have to try to keep up with Kansas City quarterback Patrick Mahomes.
Baltimore Ravens defensive coordinator Mike Macdonald
Macdonald coached at Georgia from 2010-2013 under Mark Richt. The Ravens have one of the best defenses in the NFL and will need a great defensive performance to defeat Patrick Mahomes and the Chiefs.
Kansas City Chiefs wide receiver Mecole Hardman
When: Sunday, Jan. 28 at 3:00 p.m. ET on CBS
The Kansas City Chiefs advanced to the AFC championship game despite Mecole Hardman’s critical fumble against the Buffalo Bills. Hardman will look to redeem himself against Baltimore.
Kansas City Chiefs defensive end Malik Herring
Kansas City Chiefs defensive end Malik Herring played a significant number of snaps as the Chiefs defeated the Buffalo Bills last week. Herring recorded two tackles a week ago and should have a similar role this week as the Chiefs try to contain Lamar Jackson.
