On Tuesday, Nicola Sturgeon announced that the remaining Omicron restrictions that were brought into effect on Boxing Day will be dropped from January 24.
This means that, starting next Monday, nightclubs will reopen and large-scale indoor events will be allowed to take place.
Additionally, the requirement for table service in hospitality venues will be dropped and one metre social distancing will no longer be enforced.
