A sever weather warning will rattle the entire country on Wednesday, with awful conditions including gusts of up to 110km/h and "overtopping waves" expected.
Met Éireann has extended its yellow wind warning to every county in the country, having previously issued a warning for most of Munster, as well as Galway and Mayo.
Now Leinster, Cavan, Donegal, Monaghan, Leitrim, Roscommon, Sligo, Tipperary and Waterford have been added to the weather warning.

The national forecaster warned: "Very strong northwest winds developing. Widespread gusts of between 90 and 110 km/h expected, stronger in exposed areas."
It also warned of overtopping waves in coastal areas for the first set of counties, with the weather warning set to take effect from 1am Wednesday night to 5pm Wednesday afternoon for them.
While the newly added counties will see the severe conditions take hold at 8am Wednesday morning to 8pm later that night.
Meanwhile a yellow weather wind warning remains in place for Carlow, Dublin, KIldare, Kilkenny, Louth, Meath, Wexford, Wicklow, Cork and Waterford from 3pm this Tuesday afternoon, until 9pm.
"Very strong gusts expected for a short time this afternoon and evening, causing some disruption," it reads.
Met Éireann has also issued a status orange storm marine weather warning from Roches Point to Loop Head to Rossan Point for the Irish coast and fishermen for Wednesday.
"West to northwest winds will reach storm force 10 at times on Irish coastal waters," they said, with storm force 10 denoting very high waves, heavy tumbling sea and poor visibility, according to the Beaufort Wind Force scale.
Alan O'Reilly, the weather expert behind Carlow Weather has warned the Irish public to "dig out the winter coat."
"Feeling bitterly cold tomorrow with low windchill temperatures in strong winds," he said, speaking of Wednesday, adding that "a very rough day is expected."
