England international Bukayo Saka is set to be offered a new long-term Arsenal contract worth more than £288,000-a-week.
Saka, 21, is one of Europe's most exciting footballers after enjoying a remarkable rise at the Emirates. The two-time Arsenal Player of the Season has made 169 outings for the first team since his debut in November 2018 - winning the FA Cup and Community Shield.
Yet the Gunners are in danger of losing the Manchester City transfer target, who has just over a year left on his contract. To combat this, Arsenal are willing to make Saka their highest earner - offering him more than the likes of Gabriel Jesus and Martin Odegaard.
As reported by the Daily Mail, Saka is close to agreeing a new contract with Arsenal worth a minimum of £10million per year (just over £192,000-a-week). Yet it is claimed he will actually receive nearly £15m per year thanks to bonuses and other add-ons.
If that proposed deal is signed, Saka would earn just over £288,000-a-week at the Emirates. That would make him one of the best paid players in Arsenal's history, with club chiefs unwilling to match Mesut Ozil's record £350,000-a-week salary at the Emirates.
Jesus is Arsenal's current highest earner, as the Brazilian takes home £265,000-a-week. That is according to Spotrac, who have listed the wages of the Premier League club.

Second of the list is Thomas Partey, one of the most experienced players in Mikel Arteta's squad, on £200,000-a-week, while former Man City star Oleksandr Zinchenko is taking home £150,000-a-week. Ben White and Granit Xhaka are both on £120,000-a-week.
Saka's current salary is £70,000-a-week - with captain Odegaard (£115,000-a-week), Kieran Tierney (£110,000-a-week), Eddie Nketiah (£100,000-a-week) and Gabriel Martinelli (£90,000-a-week) all pocketing more. Jorginho's salary has not been disclosed, although the former Chelsea star is likely to be earning much more than Saka's current wage.
One of the more surprising salaries is that of William Saliba, who is taking home just £40,000-a-week. Due to his performances this season, the Frenchman's pay packet will increase significantly if he signs a new deal. His current contract expires in June 2024, but Arsenal have the option to automatically extend it by a further 12 months.
Emile Smith Rowe is earning the same as Saliba, despite signing a new long-term contract with the Gunners just 20 months ago. The Englishman has struggled with a groin injury this season and will need to break back into the starting XI to earn a pay rise.
Another surprise is Aaron Ramsdale's salary, as Arsenal's first-choice goalkeeper is earning just over £61,000-a-week. He will be due a pay rise sooner rather than later thanks to a series of impressive displays following his £30m move from Sheffield United in August 2021.
In fact, a lot of players will be after a new wage following Arsenal's superb campaign. They are eight points clear of Manchester City at the top of the table - having played a game more - and have a great chance of ending their 19-year wait for a Premier League title.
