Everton vs Fulham LIVE: Premier League result, final score and reaction

Follow live coverage as Everton face Fulham today in the Premier League. Another top-flight season will be covered in full right here with The Independent, as reigning champions Manchester City look to make it an unprecedented five titles in a row come the end of 2024/25.

The likes of Arsenal and Liverpool will be chasing Pep Guardiola's side, but just as fascinating will be the race for Champions League places, with more teams than ever before having designs on top-four finishes. Chelsea remain big-spending, Manchester United's latest rebuild continues and both Tottenham and Newcastle will expect improvements this year - yet it was Aston Villa who snared fourth last term.

Meanwhile, it's Southampton, Leicester City and Ipswich Town who made it back to the elite after promotion last year and each will have hope they can make it more than a one-year stay. Follow the latest live action from the Premier League below:

Everton FC 1 - 1 Fulham FC

Everton vs Fulham

19:37

The full-time whistle blows at Goodison Park as Everton’s recent unbeaten run continues thanks to Beto’s late equaliser. Sean Dyche’s side were seconds away from defeat after a below par performance in front of their home fans but substitute Beto snatched a point right at the death with a close-range header after excellent work from Ashley Young. Fulham were the dominant side for the majority of the game and deservedly led through Alex Iwobi’s second half finish against his former club. The visitors created a whole host of chances with an xG of 1.25 compared to Everton’s 0.79. However, Marco Silva’s return to the team who sacked him ended in frustration thanks to a late show from the hosts. Thanks for reading!

Everton vs Fulham

19:21

There will be six minutes added on. Can Everton find a late equaliser?

Everton vs Fulham

19:21

SAVED! Beto is trying to make things happen for Everton. Another cross is swung into the box but the Guinea-Bissau international sees his tame header fall too close to a diving Leno.

Everton vs Fulham

19:18

Everton's best hope of finding something from this game could be from a set piece. Beto races into the box, with his effort deflected behind for a corner. The striker swings his arms in the air as he looks to rally the home fans for the final few minutes.

Everton vs Fulham

19:15

INJURY! A slight worry for Everton with creative force McNeil down and needing treatment. The forward is shaking his head while the physios appear to be treating his knee - this doesn't look good for Sean Dyche who seems to be readying a change.

Everton vs Fulham

19:15

Substitution Dwight James Matthew McNeil Jarrad Paul Branthwaite

Everton vs Fulham

19:14

SHOT! Substitute Lindstrom tests Leno with a curling effort from the edge of the area, but it's straight at the German who gratefully claims. That was much better from the home side.

Everton vs Fulham

19:10

Substitution Dominic Nathaniel Calvert-Lewin Norberto Bercique Gomes Betuncal

Everton vs Fulham

19:10

CHANCE! Another dangerous Fulham counter attack through Nelson and Smith Rowe concludes with Jimenez flashing a volley high over the bar from the edge of the box. As it stands, the visitors look the far likelier to grab a second goal rather than Everton grabbing an equaliser.

Everton vs Fulham

19:09

Substitution Abdoulaye Doucouré Orel Johnson Mangala

Everton vs Fulham

19:08

Substitution Emile Smith Rowe Harrison James Reed

Everton vs Fulham

19:08

Substitution Andreas Hugo Hoelgebaum Pereira Harry Wilson

Everton vs Fulham

19:07

Fulham break forward once more. This time, Pereira's long ball over the top aims to release Nelson through on goal, but the pass just has too much on it, allowing Pickford to come and claim. The Arsenal loanee is looking a real live-wire for Marco Silva's side.

Everton vs Fulham

19:05

Yellow Card James Alan Tarkowski

Everton vs Fulham

19:05

Nelson does well to bring it away down Fulham's left before cutting in and winning a free-kick to relieve some pressure for the visitors. The winger has looked really dangerous since coming on for Traore.

Everton vs Fulham

19:03

HANDBAGS! Tete and Mykolenko clash on the touchline, but there was minimal contact between both players, despite the latter's over dramatic tumble. The game continues.

Everton vs Fulham

19:01

CLOSE! Immediate impact from Nelson as the Arsenal loanee breaks down the left. His peach of a cross to the back post finds Iwobi, who tries to lay it on a plate for Jimenez in the middle, but his pass is just off and Everton survive.

Everton vs Fulham

18:57

SAVE! Fulham are looking far more confident after that opening goal. This time, Iwobi goes on a mazy run and times the pass out to Robinson well. However, the left-back's cross is palmed out by Pickford. The visitors are piling on the pressure.

Everton vs Fulham

18:57

Substitution Adama Traoré Diarra Reiss Luke Nelson

Everton vs Fulham

18:56

Substitution Jack David Harrison Jesper Grænge Lindstrøm

Everton vs Fulham

18:56

Three of Alex Iwobi's four Premier League goals in 2024 have come away from home, having also netted at Molineux in March and Old Trafford in February. Cometh the hour, cometh the man...

Everton vs Fulham

18:55

WIDE! Calvert-Lewin wins the flick-on and Harrison latches onto it down the right. However, the winger rushes the shot and the ball flies harmlessly into the stands behind the goal. That was a chance for the hosts to respond immediately to Fulham's opener...

Everton vs Fulham

18:50

Assist Emile Smith Rowe

Everton vs Fulham

18:50

The second half has started similar to how the first half did. Both teams are not pushing forward and are more than happy to sit back and soak up the pressure. Cue more groans from the Glawdys Street End...

Everton vs Fulham

18:48

WIDE! Traore is in the thick of the action again as the Fulham forward picks up a pass from Smith Rowe and feeds Pereira on the edge of the area. The winger takes one touch to set himself up for the shot, however his second touch sees him drag his effort wide of goal. Following that chance, the visitors xG has now passed 1.0...

Everton vs Fulham

18:46

Former Sheffield United midfielder Berge brilliantly bursts through the midfield and feeds Traore on the right hand side. However, it's top defending from Mykolenko who slows the Fulham winger down with Doucoure coming over to nick the ball away. Great work from the Ukrainian.

Everton vs Fulham

18:44

It's been a fairly cagey start to the second period with lots of aerial duels and over-hit long balls. It has once again been fairly safe unadventurous football from the home side with the Everton faithful making it known in the crowd with moans and groans.

Everton vs Fulham

18:40

CLOSE! Jimenez makes a great darting run and completely evades the Everton defenders. The Mexican forward looks to bring the ball down but it's too heavy and Pickford gratefully cuts it out.

Everton vs Fulham

18:39

Fulham have attempted 317 passes so far, their most in the first half of a Premier League game this season, last attempting more against Newcastle United in April (339). The visitors have looked confident on the ball but Marco Silva will be looking for more from his front three attackers in the second half.

Everton vs Fulham

18:37

Fulham have lost each of their last two Premier League games which were level at half-time (v Aston Villa & Manchester City) after going unbeaten in their previous three when level at the break (W2 D1). Can Marco Silva's fortunes change on what could be his final Goodison Park match?

Everton vs Fulham

18:34

Everton get us back underway for the second half. The home side have won just one of their last 12 Premier League matches which were level at half-time, a 1-0 win at home to Brentford in April (D6 L5).

Everton vs Fulham

18:30

The lack of cutting edge from both teams has been clear to see in the opening 45 minutes. Everton have struggled to create anything meaningful in front of goal despite Gueye’s effort with the hosts having an xG of 0.28, while the visitors have performed a little better from an attacking point of view with an xG of 0.99.

Everton vs Fulham

18:26

The half-time whistle blows at Goodison Park with both teams level at the break. Fulham have dominated for large parts in the opening 45 minutes and should be ahead but their wasteful finishing in front of goal has been evident. However, despite that Everton have arguably come closest to scoring. Gueye’s shot smashed off the crossbar and the rebound was finished by Calvert-Lewin but the forward was adjudged to have been offside. The Opta predictor has Fulham as slight favourites to take the three points from here with a 33% chance, while the hosts have a 30% chance of winning the game.

Everton vs Fulham

18:20

HALF-TIME: EVERTON 0-0 FULHAM

Everton vs Fulham

18:20

OVER! Another fantastic cross from Fulham comes to nothing. Traore who has looked bright in the opening 45 minutes, delivers and Jimenez once again leaves it this time to Iwobi but the winger chests the ball down and blasts well over.

Everton vs Fulham

18:17

CLOSE! Fulham go up the other end as Pereira feeds Traore down the right. The explosive winger hangs a cross up towards the back post. Jimenez gets the shout from Smith Rowe to leave it but the latter's touch is poor and the chance goes begging.

Everton vs Fulham

18:15

SAVE! Mykolenko drives down the left and whips a brilliant ball into the box. McNeil has the run on Robinson at the back post but the Everton winger nods his effort towards goal but it's too close to Leno, who holds comfortably. Another opening for the hosts comes to nothing.

Everton vs Fulham

18:13

ANOTHER BLOCK! The game is starting to open up really nicely after a slow start from both teams. This time, Fulham break forward as Jimenez enters the box and cuts inside but the Mexican's shot is blocked well by the Everton defender. This is anyone's game now!

Everton vs Fulham

18:11

BLOCK! Everton have come alive! McNeil threads a delicate ball for Harrison near the byline. The former Leeds United man hangs a teasing cross up to Calvert-Lewin at the back post and his header is diverted behind for a corner. The home side are now piling on the pressure and the home faithful are loving every second of it.

Everton vs Fulham

18:09

OVER! Fulham drive up the other end after that VAR decision with Tete going on a fantastic solo run. However, the Dutchman fires over Pickford's top corner. This game has come to life after a poor opening 25 minutes.

Everton vs Fulham

18:07

GOAL DISALLOWED! Gueye cracks a brilliant effort off the crossbar and the rebound falls kindly to Calvert-Lewin, who smashes his finish past Leno. However, the offside flag goes up. VAR checks and confirms the on field decision. The score remains 0-0 but that was extremely close...

Everton vs Fulham

18:05

The Goodison Park crowd is getting a little restless. However, that double chance has woken Everton up a bit. The home side are holding onto the ball a bit better but they're still yet to really test Bernd Leno in the Fulham goal.

Everton vs Fulham

18:04

HUGE CHANCES! Everton are let off the hook! Mykolenko who has struggled in the opening half hour, gives the ball away on the edge of his own box and Pereira slips in the pacey Traore. However, despite the angle being tight, the winger gets his fierce shot away but Pickford parries it away. Fulham keep up the pressure as Jimenez nods the ball down for Smith Rowe a few yards out but the midfielder gets underneath it and blazes over from a good position.

Everton vs Fulham

18:01

SAVE! McNeil's delivery from deep finds Keane at the back post and Doucoure tries a header at goal but it's straight at Leno. Since Sean Dyche’s first Premier League games in charge of Everton, only Arsenal (33) have scored more goals via set pieces (excl. pens) than the Toffees (27). The hosts may feel their best chances will come from set pieces.

Everton vs Fulham

17:59

Fulham's Iwobi swings in a cross into the box but it's too high for Pereira and Jimenez, and Pickford claims easily. At the other end, Calvert-Lewin has struggled to make an impact in the opening quarter of this game with the striker looking a lonely figure up front.

Everton vs Fulham

17:57

The game has lacked quality in the opening 20 minutes, with no clear-cut chances being created as of yet. However, Fulham have scored the first goal in each of their last five Premier League games (W2 D1 L2), although they’ve lost the last two.

Everton vs Fulham

17:56

Fulham come forward once again but Tete's overhit pass towards the onrushing Traore goes out for a goal kick. It's an intriguing game so far with Everton happy to allow their visitors to hang onto the ball with Sean Dyche's side looking to break on the counter, however, the home fans are starting to get a bit frustrated with what they are watching.

Everton vs Fulham

17:53

CHANCE! The visitors press high once again and Mykolenko gives the ball away under pressure. The needless giveaway allows Jimenez to lay the ball off for Smith Rowe but the former Arsenal man takes a heavy touch in the box and Tarkowski boots the ball away. Fulham are squeezing the Everton defence whenever they can and it's forcing the home side into costly errors.

Everton vs Fulham

17:49

Raul Jimenez has scored or assisted in each of his last five Premier League appearances for Fulham (four goals, one assist). No Cottagers player has done so in six games in a row, while only three players have scored or assisted in six in a row aged 33 or older: Gus Poyet aged 34 in 2001, Dennis Bergkamp aged 35 in 2004 and Zlatan Ibrahimovic aged 35 in 2017.

Everton vs Fulham

17:48

It's been a bright start from both sides early on. This time, Fulham come forward in numbers as Jimenez lays the ball off nicely for Pereira in the penalty area but the former Manchester United midfielder cannot get his shot away and the hosts clear their lines. The visitors are dominating the ball with nearly 70% posession. Marco Silva will be impressed with what he's watching so far.

Everton vs Fulham

17:46

Everton have kept six clean sheets in their last seven Premier League games in October (W4 D2 L1), including both games this season. Since the 2022-23 season, the Toffees have averaged 0.75 points per game in August and September (P20 W3 D6 L11) compared to 1.55 points per game in October (W5 D2 L4).

Everton vs Fulham

17:45

ANOTHER PENALTY APPEAL! It's a well worked counter attack from the hosts as McNeil gets his head up and plays Calvert-Lewin in down the left-hand side. The Everton striker drives into the box and cuts inside before going down under a challenge from Bassey. The referee waves Everton's appeals away and the game continues.

Everton vs Fulham

17:43

CHANCE! The first opening of the game falls to the in-form Jimenez. The Mexican striker has an effort blocked from long range but it's not too long before the potent Fulham forward is back in the chances. Tete plays an early cross into the box and Jimenez chests the ball down superbly in the box. He's just on the stretch though which means his effort is tame and it's an easy save for Pickford.

Everton vs Fulham

17:40

It's been a measured start from Everton in the opening five minutes. The hosts are keeping possession well, with both full-backs trying to find Calvert-Lewin at every opportunity but Fulham's defenders are holding firm. Sean Dyche's side were unbeaten in their first 27 home league games against Fulham between 1949 and 2018 (W23 D4), winning each of the last 22 of those. Since then, they’ve lost their last three at home to the Cottagers.

Everton vs Fulham

17:37

Fulham manager Marco Silva has won each of his last two away Premier League games against Everton, whom he managed 53 times between August 2018 and December 2019. In Premier League history, the only manager to win away at his former club more than twice in a row was Harry Redknapp at West Ham between 2006 and 2009 (five in a row).

Everton vs Fulham

17:35

PENALTY APPEAL?! Fulham's Pereira goes down under Mykolenko's challenge in the Everton penalty area but the referee waves that one away. That would have been soft if that was given early on...

Everton vs Fulham

17:34

Dwight McNeil has been involved in six goals in his last six Premier League appearances for Everton, with three goals and three assists. Meanwhile, Raul Jimenez could become the first Fulham player to score or assist in six consecutive Premier League appearances. Both teams have players going forward who could make the difference in today's game at Goodison Park.

Everton vs Fulham

17:31

We are underway at Goodison Park. Prior to kick-off, both captains brought out wreaths with this being Everton's last Premier League home game before Remembrance Sunday next month.

Everton vs Fulham

17:28

The teams are in the tunnel and kick-off will commence shortly at Goodison Park. Fulham are unbeaten in their last five Premier League games against Everton (W3 D2), keeping four clean sheets in the process. All three of those wins in that run have come away from Craven Cottage. The Cottagers will be hoping to extend that run today.

Everton vs Fulham

17:00

Fulham, meanwhile, make one enforced change from the side who were beaten by Aston Villa last weekend. Issa Diop, who scored an own goal seconds after coming onto the pitch as a substitute against Unai Emery's outfit, replaces the suspended Joachim Andersen, who was sent off last time out against Villa. Raul Jimenez leads the line for Marco Silva’s visitors. The Mexican has scored or assisted in each of his last five Premier League appearances for the Cottagers (four goals, one assist).

Everton vs Fulham

17:00

Sean Dyche names an unchanged team from the one who defeated Ipswich 2-0 last weekend. The hosts welcome back Jarrad Branthwaite to the bench, however centre-back duo James Tarkowski and Michael Keane keep their places in the first eleven despite the England international's return to the squad. Iliman Ndiaye's performances have been a standout feature of Everton’s recent resurgence, and the Senegalese international starts alongside international compatriot Idrissa Gueye who is making his 200th appearance in the Premier League.

Everton vs Fulham

17:00

Meanwhile, Fulham come into this game aiming to get back to winning ways after back-to-back defeats against Manchester City and Aston Villa. With Marco Silva returning to Goodison Park, the Cottagers will be keen to make another fast start; they have scored first in each of their last five Premier League games, but they have lost their last two. Only six teams in Premier League history have lost three consecutive games when scoring first, most recently Sheffield United in April and May of last season.

Everton vs Fulham

17:00

Hosts Everton come into this encounter against Fulham hoping to extend their unbeaten Premier League run to five matches. After starting the 2024-25 campaign with four successive defeats, the Toffees have since turned a corner under Sean Dyche, picking up eight points from their last four league games. Last weekend’s away win at Portman Road against Ipswich means the home side can earn back-to-back league wins for the first time since a run of three in April.
