Alessia Russo, who scored on her 100th WSL appearance, discusses her fine all-round display on Sky Sports: “It’s all about finding the spaces – the teams in this league, it’s hard sometimes, they all have different approaches. I want to be in the box, but if I need to drop deep or go out wide, I can do that.”

That was Russo’s 51st goal in 100 league games. It was originally credited to Caitlin Foord before it was reviewed. Foord also put in a commendably busy display.
