Former Aston Villa striker Gabby Agbonlahor has urged Everton to sign Jack Harrison this summer. The Leeds United winger came close to leaving Elland Road to join Leicester City in January only for the club to make a dramatic U-turn at the 11th hour.
Leeds would tie down Harrison to a new deal until the summer of 2028. There have been reports of relegation release clause in his deal at Elland Road, which could see him depart for a fee believed to be in the region of £16million.
The Toffees are among a number of clubs reportedly interested in taking Harrison back to the Premier League, while West Ham and Aston Villa have also been tentatively linked.
“I really like him," Agbonlahor told Football Insider. “Leeds were clever to make him sign a new deal and put that release clause in.

“The big thing for Everton is – I would go and get a striker. I can’t believe they’re looking at wingers first. Whatever money is available, whatever they spend, it’s got to be on a number nine.
“If that’s 80% of the budget, then so be it. They’ve got Gray, McNeil, Iwobi – players who can play on the wing.
“But they need a striker. If you go out and get one and there is money left, then Harrison is a great addition. It’s just not a priority.
“In the right team, Harrison could be very dangerous. But Everton have got to sort their striker situation out first.”
