Everton transfer deadline day: Paul Onuachu race, Amadou Onana interest, Anthony Elanga latest

Transfer deadline day has arrived for Everton, and it's safe to say it could prove to be a busy day for the club.

Sean Dyche has officially been unveiled as the new Blues' boss and will be eager to get to work as he bids to turn the season around. But even the former Burnley manager will recognise the first-team is in need of strengthening, particularly following the departure of Anthony Gordon.

Below, we have rounded up the latest rumours relating to the Toffees ahead of tonight's 11pm deadline

Paul Onuachu race

Everton have reportedly 'entered the race' to sign Genk striker, Paul Onuachu. The Nigerian forward has scored 16 goals in 19 league appearances to fuel an unlikely title challenge for his side, who currently sit six points clear at the top of the table with a game in hand.

The Secret Scout first claimed Southampton were 'pushing' for Onuachu before adding Everton have entered the mix. Both clubs are said to be 'speaking with the club and his representatives' regarding a potential transfer deal.

Amadou Onana interest

Arsenal's continued pursuit of Brighton midfielder Moises Caicedo could result in bad news for Everton as they begin to consider alternatives.

The Gunners have already seen two offers for the Seagulls' wantaway star rejected and 'could turn' to Amadou Onana, according to the Times.

It remains to be seen as to whether or not Roberto De Zerbi's side retain their firm stance on the matter or decide to cash in on the Ecuadorian before tomorrow.

Anthony Elanga latest

Everton are 'still in contact' with Manchester United over a potential loan deal for forward Anthony Elanga.

The Swedish star has struggled for regular opportunities since the arrival of Erik ten Hag, who has instead called upon young talent Alejandro Garnacho and benefited from Marcus Rashford's resurgence.

United were only prepared to sanction a loan exit once a forward was recruited, which is now the case following the addition of Wout Weghorst, meaning a temporary move could be on the cards.

The Daily Mirror have suggested Elanga remains a 'target' for the Blues, but there is still a sense of 'reluctance' from the Red Devils to let the 20-year-old leave.
