Everton's need for a new striker is no secret following the summer departure of Richarlison and recurring injury issues faced by Dominic Calvert-Lewin
And, according to a new report, one forward who has emerged as a possible signing is Blackburn Rovers star Ben Brereton Diaz, who significantly raised his reputation by scoring 22 Championship goals last season. The 23-year-old has also started the new campaign strongly, netting twice in the opening three matches to help Rovers make a 100% winning start to the season.
Brereton Diaz has enjoyed a meteoric rise at international level, representing Chile for the first time one year ago having switched allegiances from England. His first start for La Roja resulted in him securing a winning strike against Bolivia, and clubs across Europe are now beginning to sit up and take notice of his performances.

Ligue 1 side Nice have reportedly tabled a £10m bid for the English second-tier star, but are understood to be facing competition from Everton for his services. That's according to the Daily Mail, who state the Blues are also in the hunt for Blackburn's main marksman, who has one year left on his Ewood Park contract.
Should Frank Lampard's side miss out on the forward, Brighton's Neal Maupay is said to have emerged as another possible transfer target. The above report from the Mail claims Fulham and Nottingham Forest are also eyeing the Frenchman, with the latter said to currently be in talks over a £15m deal.
Elsewhere, French football journalist Karim Bennani has claimed that Marseille have offered their 29-year-old Poland international striker Arkadiusz Milik to Everton, along with Manchester United and Juventus.
