Dominic Calvert-Lewin makes the matchday squad for the first time this season as the striker returns from injury to take a spot on Everton's bench against Manchester United.
His inclusion is a significant moment for both the 25-year-old and Frank Lampard, who has cautiously overseen his recovery from what the manager described as a "freak" knee injury suffered on the eve of the new campaign. Lampard had confirmed Calvert-Lewin was in contention for tonight's squad after deciding to give him an additional week to prepare for his return by not selecting him at Southampton.

Should he make it onto the pitch it will be Calvert-Lewin's first appearance in the Premier League since the last game of last season at Arsenal - and his first at Goodison Park since he scored the goal against Crystal Palace that saved Everton from relegation.
In relation to the starting line-up, Anthony Gordon replaces Dwight McNeil in Lampard's only change from the trip to St Mary's. The match winner against Southampton makes way for Gordon - who scored the goal that secured three points for the Blues when United visited Goodison Park in April. Gordon was only on the bench last week as a result of illness. The rest of the starting eleven is unchanged as Everton look to extend their unbeaten run to eight games in all competitions.
Starting XI: Pickford; Mykolenko, Coady, Tarkowski, Coleman; Iwobi, Gueye, Onana, Gordon, Maupay, Gray
