Everton are not interested in selling Anthony Gordon in a double deal with Richarlison to Tottenham Hotspur. A report from Sky Sports’ Alan Myers emerged on Monday that claimed that Spurs were putting together a package to try and take both Richarlison and Gordon from Everton.
The ECHO understands that Everton are not aware of a prospective package deal and if there was, it would not be something they would support. While Brazilian international Richarlison, who has been with the club for four years and has two years left on his current contract, cast doubt over his future with comments at the end of May, Gordon, has only just completed his first season as a regular in the senior squad and has a deal running until 2025.
Many Evertonians have begrudgingly accepted that this could be the summer for their club to cash in on Richarlison if he does not want to commit his future beyond his existing deal given that a potential sale of one of the Blues’ most-valuable assets could help fund squad rebuilding for Frank Lampard. Chelsea are also understood to be considering a move for the 25-year-old.
